Rekey when an employee or tenant leaves.
Someone left and took a key with them, or you are not sure how many copies are out there. Rekey the doors. A rekey keeps the locks you have and changes the pins inside, so a new key works and the old ones do not. It is the usual fix when a manager moves on, a tenant moves out or a key ring goes missing. New locks are for when the hardware itself is worn or broken.

Storefront and office doors, and keys for your staff.
Back doors, office doors and deadbolts: we rekey and replace the locks and cut the keys that go with them. Glass storefront doors take their own hardware, so ask when you call. If you need five keys for five people, say so when you call, and bring one key that works to the shop if you can.
Some things depend on the door and the hardware, so ask when you call:
- Keys marked so a hardware store will not copy them.
- One key that opens every door, with staff keys that open only some.
- Push-bar exit doors and door closers.
- Keypad or card locks.
- Master key systems: designed and pinned at the shop.
- Exit devices (panic bars) installed and repaired.
- Keypad and access-control locks installed.

Business lockouts.

Safes are on the sign. Deposit safe stuck shut, combination gone with the last manager, or thinking about buying one for the till: call and ask. Tell us the make, whether it is a dial or a keypad, and whether you have the combination.
Farms, ranches and ag shops.
Oakdale is ranch and orchard country, and a lot of what we lock is not a front door. Gate padlocks, shop doors, pump houses, fuel tanks and equipment sheds all take keys, and every key that leaves with a hand is a key you cannot count anymore. We cut keys for padlocks and rekey or replace the locks on outbuildings. Ask about having several padlocks open with one key so the ring stays short.

Should I rekey or replace the locks?
If the locks work and you only want the old keys dead, rekey. If a lock is loose, sticking or broken, or you want a stronger deadbolt on that door, replace it. Tell us what the door is doing and we will say which.
Can you make it so staff cannot copy their keys?
Ask. There are keys a hardware store will not duplicate, and whether they fit depends on the locks on your doors. Call with what you have and we will tell you what is possible.
Will I get a proper invoice?
